“Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go.”
Truman Capote
Venice must be one of my favorite places and every time I promise myself to come here more often. Stepping out of Santa Lucia railway station, smelling and breathing the salty air is priceless and the perfect beginning. Random fact, did you know the italian verb “sento” not only means feel, but also taste, hear and sense?
Sometimes I think Venice is like a fairytale and Santa Lucia railway station is the portal to another time 600 years ago. Walking the narrow streets and little alleys always expecting to meet Casanova around the next corner. Having un caffé, some sweet little italian sin and watching people passing by. I could do this allday long. And to be honest I did trink a lot of caffé and spritzz! All these charming little cafés everywhere in Venice, they are too tempting.
Roberta and me spend a lovely afternoon in April wandering from St. Marcus Square to the fishmarket at Rialto Bridge.
