Shows like “Victoria” and “The Crown” set me in the mood for some royal sightseeing and as I never have visited Kensington Palace, even so I always loved to take long walks in the gardens, it was about time!

It is possible to visit different parts of the palace: the modern royals (they are prepairing a new exhibition at the moment “Diana: Her Fashion Story”), The Queen´s State Apartements (Mary II), The King´s State Apartements (William III) and Victoria Revealed, which was my favourite part.

Queen Victoria grew up alone with her mother in Kensington Palace and hated it, this new (?) exhibition showcases her long and extraordinary life in her own words, personal belongings, paintings and photography.

Before I made my way to the V & A Museum, I visited Victoria and Albert one last time in the Kensington gardens and made new friends, quite impertinet new friends.

  • London, Baby!

London surprised me with spring feelings, it´s about 20° warmer than in Vienna and a tube strike. As it took me almost four hours to get from Heathrow to my Airbnb arpartment, I wasn´t in the mood for that much sight seeing yesterday and just walked around Greenwich.
But today was a new day, the sun was almost shinging, the tube was back at work and it was time to ride some red buses!
