Fjällgatan
That morning the sun illuminating my light airbnb apartement woke me up to blue skies and spring! Perfect day to take another route to Gamla Stan – right around the corner from my place there was Fjällgatan. Offering the most beautiful views of Gamla Stan, Skeppsholmen, Kastellholmen and Djurgården, cute little wooden houses from the 1700s with little parks in between.
But in former times the steps up to Galgberget (the oldest name of Fjällgatan) were the last ones “unfortunate people” took, they probably didn´t enjoy the view of Stockholm City that much! Until the seventeenth century, when the city expaned, one had found the large gallows at the very top.

Paris or Stockholm?
After feeling some Berlin vibes in Södermalm, the inspiration for the Strandvägen promenade and the boulevards of Östermalm and Normalm seemed to be parisian.
Hallwylska museet Hallwylska museet View from Strömparterren – perfect place to rest and watch the swans, ducks…. This is one of Stockholm’s oldest parks (1832) and probably best situated… located on the island of Helgeandsholmen, nestled in the Strömmen (rapids connecting Lake Mälaren with the Baltic) and surrounded on three sides by the Royal Palace, the Parliament Building and the Royal Opera House.
