Shows like “Victoria” and “The Crown” set me in the mood for some royal sightseeing and as I never have visited Kensington Palace, even so I always loved to take long walks in the gardens, it was about time!
It is possible to visit different parts of the palace: the modern royals (they are prepairing a new exhibition at the moment “Diana: Her Fashion Story”), The Queen´s State Apartements (Mary II), The King´s State Apartements (William III) and Victoria Revealed, which was my favourite part.
Queen Victoria grew up alone with her mother in Kensington Palace and hated it, this new (?) exhibition showcases her long and extraordinary life in her own words, personal belongings, paintings and photography.
She actually was tiny – standing beside her dresses, Victoria appeared to be even shorter than I am.
Before I made my way to the V & A Museum, I visited Victoria and Albert one last time in the Kensington gardens and made new friends, quite impertinet new friends.
