While walking around Bath I noticed quite a lot of ghost signs, often for former dairy shops and started to collect them. Here is a little selection.
A ghost sign is an old hand-painted advertising signthat has been preserved on a building for an extended period of time. The sign may be kept for its nostalgic appeal, or simply indifference by the owner. (wikipedia)
And I´ve just realised there is even a book about all the ghost signs of Bath!
