  • Café Josefine

There is a lovely new girl in town! Café Josefine opened last week at Laudongasse 10, 1080 Wien – near Altes Akh and almost around the corner of the Vienna University. The perfect place to hide from the cold weather, read some papers and magazines (all provided by Josefine) and enjoy some great coffee and florentines made with love. And don´t forget to try her homemade lime-lemonade – it´s delicious!

  • Vintage Stadl – Pop Up Shop

Vintage Stadl, Berggasse 5, Pop Up Shop, Vienna, Neobarock, Vintage, Möbel, Vienna

I love inner court- and backyards – you never know what you may find. Sometimes there are real jewels hidden behind the doors and walls. Today I visited the Pop Up Shop by Vintage Stadl at Berggasse 5 in Vienna. It´s a beautiful building from the outside, elegant entrance and hallway and then there is this gorgeous neo-baroque hall in the courtyard, a treasure!

The building was erected in 1825 by Josef Klee by order of Johann Niernsee. First it was called “Zum Schweizer” and later on “Zum silbernen Brunnen” – this neo-baroque hall seems to have been built in 1890 and was used as a restaurant, the courtyard served as “Schanigarten”. I found an old image (postcard) from the restaurant and the garden with lots of tables while looking for some information on that place. (Try google image search: “Franz Gilly Zum silbernen Brunnen”)

In the last years it has been used by a printer and was filled with huge machines, but renovation works will start soon and an event agency will bring back it´s almost original use as a venue.

  • My parisian neighborhood

I spent my (way to little) days in a nice, little apartment right next to Sacre Coeur in Montmatre. The perfect opportunity to check out this beautiful and lively area of Paris. Galleries next to cute little shops and cafés. And compared to rest of Paris it´s so incredible calm there!
