  • Cinecittà

    Just a short ride with the metro and you´re at Fellinis home: la Cinecittà. He actually really lived on these grounds!

    Founded in 1937 by Mussolini Cinecittà has been a working studio areal to this day. During our visit a remake of “Ben Hur” was shoot and according to the guide they were expecting the crew from the new Bond movie soon. (I´m sorry but “zero zero sette” doesn´t sound that sexy!)

Over eighty locations were created, from the Via Veneto to the dome of St. Peter´s.

    No italian breakfast without a cornetto – a little piece of pastry, sometimes filled with about 5kg of Nutella!

  • Gianicolo

    The view from Gianicolo over Rome is more than worth the walk uphill. (Psst, there are also buses you might take!).

    Even that it is the second-tallest hill of Rome, Gianicolo doesn´t count as one of the “Seven Hills Rome is built on”, as it´s outside the boundaries of the ancient city.
