Let´s get back to Rome, but this time we´re going to do a little timelapse: welcome to Cesars Rome, set in the 1st century BC.
Rebuilt on 4 hectares for the HBO show “Rome”. In Cinecittà Rome is only s short walk from New York and Assisi. Another set still in use, the crew of “Doctor Who” used it, the fourth season of “The Fires of Pompeii” and more recent in march “Zero-Zero-Sette” shot there and at this very moment the “Zoolander 2”.
Do you recognize the building on the right? It´s the Pantheon used in “Rome” as domicile of the senat.
Wow, beeindruckend. Kann man das Set einfach so besichtigen? Wenn ja werde ich’s mir beim nächsten Rom Besuch bestimmt ansehen.
Man kann die Sets nur mit einer Führung besuchen, das lohnt sich aber auf alle Fälle! Die guides erzählen viel Spannendes rundherum. Die Führung hat insgesamt ca 2 Stunden gedauert, wobei es bei uns einbißchen länger war, weil wir eine englisch/italienisch gemischte Gruppe war und sie immer alles doppelt erzählte. Dadurch konnte man sich aber auch viel länger umsehen.
